James Brice - B.Ed (Music), L.Mus A, A.Mus A

James has been privileged to work with many Primary, Secondary and Tertiary students throughout Australia and overseas prior to and during his appointment as Musical Director of the Castle Hill RSL Youth Wind Orchestra (YWO) and the North West Wind Ensemble (NWWE).

With 20 years of professional teaching, performing and conducting experience, James is a highly sought after conductor, educator and adjudicator, throughout Australia, who has been invited to adjudicate many State and National Eisteddfod throughout Australia in recent years.

James has recorded, conducted and produced several CD recordings of note, ABC Live recordings, solo recitals for 2MBS FM, Australian and International web based recordings, several School Orchestra & Wind Band CDs together with two Castle Hill RSL specialist recordings featuring the YWO and NWWE.

Since taking the reins, James has led the YWO and NWWE to a staggering nineteen NSW State and National Championship title wins.

In addition to these achievements James is currently the Director of Instrumental Performance at Knox Grammar School, where he is the Conductor in Residence of the Orchestral and Wind Band Program, coordinating an Instrumental Program of 430 boys.

Prior to his appointment, James was Principal Euphonium/Trombone with the Royal Australian Air Force Air Command Band (1996-2007). Throughout his celebrated 11 year career, James performed extensively throughout Australia and overseas, within many R.A.A.F Musical ensembles.
